Maybe it's Windows doing something in the background. I definitely didn't mix up the installations as I renamed the backup or copied folders. Really strange! Could it be something to do with Java, the new year date switch etc? A new core update I guess? Nonetheless, everything is running as it should, everything restored correctly. Something really weird happened, where I launched JD and it prompted me that it found a new update and took a few mins to download and install this new update (longer than the usual updates). When I went into my folder, I didn't have any of the backup files. Just before reading your reply I found another thread where you mentioned about renaming the jar file etc. Maybe you just mix different JDownloader installations/directories. You should not need any backup of your old installation! As long as you have not deleted your old installation, all files are still Very old installations from back 2010-2012 are installed to admin priviliges restricted C:\Program Files but are not longer in use. JDownloader installs to %AppData% by default and you should have fine access to that folder as it's your own user directory. In your JDownloader folder, search for file and rename to JDownloader.jarĭelete Core.jar file and the folders update, tmp and logs and start JDownloader again For instance, there is a file "filelist.txt" which sounds like might be the file I need. What do I do?Īlso, I have weird permissions stuff going on. I checked the original installation - the downloadlist.zip backup is from last month. Which is all fine and dandy, until I realised that I do not have a backup of my most recent download list (i.e. I kept a copy of the original installation, reinstalled a fresh jd, which launched fine. Permissions on the folder are set to full access for all users and system, but this is not enough.HTML Code: : .JDLauncherĪt (Unknown Source)Īt (Unknown Source)Īt $AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)Īt .launch(Unknown Source)Īt .main(Unknown Source)Īt .WinLauncher.main(Unknown Source)I did see some threads with this kind of error but way back from 2013.
